EMEA Hexagon carpet tile Installation
The installation procedures mentioned within this guidance note are intended to assist in the installation of Shaw Contract Hexagon Carpet tiles. Should subfloor preparation guidance be required, please call Shaw Contract EMEA tel: +44 (0) 20 7442 5755 for further details.
Begin the installation by following Shaw Contract’s Installation Guidelines and those of any relevant for Site Conditions and proper Floor Preparation.
- The starting point in a modular installation must be as near to the centere of the room as possible.
- Snap perpendicular chalk lines that intersect at the centere of the room. Verify 90° angles with a laser square or a 3-4-5 triangle.
- An optional third chalk line can be snapped as shown to aid accurate tile placement.
- Test a dry-install for pattern layout and placement.
- Starting on centere, install tiles in a monolithic, diagonal, or random pattern.
- To ensure proper alignment of tiles, follow the numbered tiles featured.
- Flow into the adjacent quadrants outward toward the perimeter walls. When installing at the perimeter walls, make perimeter cuts at this time.
